Exploring Defi protocols with your IRA
As Centralized Crypto Finance is going through stress, Decentralized Finance is working transparently and orderly by comparison. “DeFi” investor protocols usually operate completely on automatic computer and blockchain code rather than human decisions, where the investment activity is transparently viewable by anyone who is interested in reviewing it.
IRA investors have been curious to explore DeFi protocols with their IRA, but have struggled with one major issue. Very few provide a KYC identity check to tie an investment to their IRA LLC. While blockchain records are easy to read for experienced crypto investors, most of the finance, regulatory, and tax reporting world operates with a standardized "Know Your Customer Check."
Alkemi Earn has been creating a KYC-approved investor pool that all invests in the two-sided market of Alkemi Earn. This means IRA LLC investors can directly register their LLC on the Alkemi Earn pool, and once approved, participate in the yield generation the protocol offers. As Rocket Dollar investors provide liquidity for other investors to take out loans, they can receive a yield on their investment, without ever having to sell assets.
