Structure and Titling

How is my Self-Directed Solo 401(k) plan and retirement trust I transact out of be titled?

At Rocket Dollar, your Solo 401(k) plan titling depends on if your business is an LLC/Corporation with a name or it is a sole-proprietorship

How does this titling work?

First, we have you complete solo 401(k) plan documents. We have your business adopt the plan, Then we open bank accounts which houses all of your plan assets. Through self-custody, these bank accounts hold your pre-tax and post-tax cash deposits.

When completing and investment, or naming your plan, using the naming convention below unless you requested a different plan name with our support team.

For Sole-Proprietorship with a Rocket Dollar Solo 401k

The plan will be named as "[YOUR NAME] 401k PSP".

For example, John Smith who owns a sole-proprietorship will start a Solo 401k at Rocket Dollar titled "John Smith 401k PSP".

When you sign, it should be

"Firstname Lastname, Trustee"

For LLC and Corporations with a Rocket Dollar Solo 401k

The plan will be named as "[BUSINESS NAME] 401k PSP".

For example, John Smith who owns a business called Texas Oil Consultants will start a Solo 401k at Rocket Dollar titled "Texas Oil Consultants 401k PSP".

"Firstname Lastname, Trustee"

If I'm signing up for an investment platform account for my Solo 401K, what do I pick?
